Where to buy refurbished Apple phones?

WHAT IPHONE TO GET?

The oldest iOS 14 edition is the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, the newest and the biggest is OS 14 we did not test  6s Plus, but it runs on 13 like a field. So we would know if there were any complications.

This means that from the seventies you can pick up any iPhone. It is just a question of price and usability.

WHAT PHONES ARE UNDER $200

Used iPhone prices vary considerably depending on where you buy them. That said, you’re unlikely to find anything other than an iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, 7, or original SE for sale for less than $200. That means you’re definitely limiting your purchasing.

Amazon Renewed

Amazon has a certified renewed set of offerings, which the company says, “have been inspected and tested by qualified suppliers to work and look like new, and come with the Amazon Renewed Guarantee.” It took a little digging, but I did find an iPhone 7 for $178, although it only had 32GB of storage.

EBAY

And eBay is there. We noticed a large range of iPhones below $200, including some six variants below $99 in my fast hunt. That said, eBay, so emptor caveat. Read the two excellent CNET posts on the topic if you want to navigate the e-Bay route:

THE BOTTOM LINE

The end is straightforward. You certainly better get a new Apple phone. You know what you buy, so you know that for five or six years, you will be able to do it.

However, you can still get an iPhone if you can’t afford or don’t want Apple level capital. You would need to lose some of the functionality and speed and take some chance (if you don’t use an existing seller). Yet there are fewer than $200 iPhones. At least for a year or two, they will do the job very well.
